AI/ML Leader | Asset Management & Finance

Building intelligent systems at the intersection of AI, finance, and cloud.

Background

About Me

I am an AI and data leader with 10+ years of experience building modern investment data, analytics, and decisioning platforms in financial services. My work spans asset management at Vanguard and regulated enterprise AI at Domyn, where I have led initiatives across fixed income analytics, investment operations, cloud modernization, semantic data architecture, and LLM-powered systems.

I specialize in connecting business strategy with scalable technical execution — translating complex investment and data challenges into governed platforms, AI-ready architectures, and high-impact products. My experience includes modernizing legacy analytics environments, integrating structured and unstructured data, building semantic and metadata frameworks, and delivering AI/ML solutions such as agentic systems, Text-to-SQL, and personalization capabilities.

With more than 9 years at Vanguard, I bring deep knowledge of investment data, governance, and investor-focused use cases, along with a proven ability to align senior stakeholders, mentor teams, and drive practical innovation in highly regulated environments. In addition to my industry work, I have authored over a dozen research papers with more than 300 citations, reflecting a strong foundation in analytical rigor, innovation, and applied problem solving.

Career Timeline

Professional Experience

We deliver end-to-end vertical AI solutions for highly regulated industries, including foundation models, agentic AI systems, and enterprise-grade AI governance.

  • Architected an enterprise semantic data layer for regulated financial datasets, enabling governed access across complex schemas and improving interoperability across data domains.
  • Designed ontology and metadata frameworks to automate data discovery, strengthen lineage visibility, and support consistent Data-as-a-Product standards.
  • Digital Transformation: Leading end-to-end vertical AI solutions for regulated enterprises, building semantic-layered data models, knowledge graphs, and agentic AI workflows with robust, auditable governance.
  • Structured Data Agent: Architecting an LLM-driven agent that converts natural-language questions into validated SQL operations, ensuring reliable, non-hallucinatory answers grounded in enterprise datasets.
  • Unstructured Data Agent: Building a hybrid LLM + Knowledge Graph reasoning system to retrieve and interpret free-form documents using semantic search and contextual understanding.

Outside the office

Beyond Work

I find genuine satisfaction in mentoring — taking something complex and making it click for someone else. Outside of meetings and models, that often looks like a robotics kit on the kitchen table with my kids, which is as good a test of patience and creativity as any professional challenge.

I stay curious through reading — finance, AI, and the occasional deep dive into how large systems break and recover. Travel and photography round out the picture: both are good reminders that the most interesting things are usually hiding in plain sight.
